So i know I say this all the time but I'm sorry for not posting recently!Anyway I was thinking and I'm going to turn this into a more personal blog, don't get me wrong, I will still be posting about gym events and stuff but also about my life :)
So here we go.
Well at the start of the I started back at gym. It was amazing to be back, it was quite tough getting back into it but it was so rewarding. I have lost a lot of skills, flexibility and strength but I'm working really hard over the summer to get them back! The annoying thing about Irish gymnastics is that it barely gets any money and no-one really cares about it. Also in our gym (and many others) you have to put out the equipment at the start of training and then put it away again at the end. It's really annoying and it eats up training time! Hopefully someday Irish gymnastics will improve.
Also I'm starting coaching in September! I cannot wait, it is going to be great, I've always wanted to co coaching!
I got a new phone today, my other one broke :( Its the LG KS360.
Here's a piccy -->
Working on a few vids for youtube atm, don't really have any inspiration to finish them though. Have lots of ideas but I also have some requests to do and I'm finding them hard.
Speaking of youtube I have a new background so you should go check it out -
You know I wish I could change my name on youtube, when I first made my account I had no idea that I would be making videos one day. Just goes to show how times change.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Hmm I really don't know what to make of the film.
First off for those of you that don't know, I'm a Harry Potter nerd, I study the books religiously. They are my favourite books of all time. Although I have seen all the movies (even went to the premiere of the first and second one) they just don't compare to the books. Anyways I was really looking forward to this movie as the sixth book was my favourite and to be honest it was a bit of a let down, don't get me wrong, it was a great film but it wasn't as great as it could have been.So lets start off with the good things:
Whoa, Tom Felton deserves a medal or something for his performance, he really made the film for me. I mean I've always been a fan of Draco, I always like bad guys but in this movie I just wanted to give him a big hug and tell him it's okay. When he was about to kill Dumbledore and he was saying 'I have to do this' my heart was just breaking. It was soo incredible, oh and the bathroom scene where he was crying was so great too, I loved seeing this other side to Draco. Also he was pretty hot in this film, which is always plus ;)
Effects
Insane. nuff said.
Added Scenes
They were good, kinda random but they were well done. However I would have preferred for them to be left out and for other more important scenes put in.
Harry High on Liquid Luck
In my opinion the best acting Dan has ever done. One of my favourite scenes in the film, brilliantly done, couldn't have imagined it any better.
And the bad things..
Harry and Ginny
Relationship was not built up enough and the kiss? Ha, what kiss?
Ron and Hermione
It was too obvious that they liked each other. In the book there is always something there but you never quite know for sure that they definitely like each other.
The Ending
Way too rushed. Dumbledore's death wasn't built up enough either, I didn't feel anything watching the film yet when I read the book I was crying my eyes out. No funeral either.
Not Enough Memories
Hello only two memories? Wtf? They should have at least put in the one about the Gaunt family.
No Fight
Why did they take out the fight? I was really looking forward to that, the one in the seventh film better be amazing!
I think that overall the film, as part of a series, was quite good but the film on it's own was weak. I also don't think it felt like a film itself, it felt like it was just a prequel to the next one and that they are saving all the great stuff for the last two.
Anyway I will stop blabbering on now!
Will post again soon..
Comments are always appreciated :)
Love Megs.
